DENTURES & PARTIALS
Complete and partial dentures are designed to replace lost teeth and restore your smile to completeness. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth. Fortunately, dentures allow you to eat and speak as if you had your teeth. Once you are accustomed to wearing the dentures, your normal function and appearance will be restored as well as possible. We also use specialized mini-dental implants and regular dental implants to stabilize full or partial dentures further.
A dental crown is a complete outer protective shell that fits snugly over your natural tooth like a cap. Often referred to as a "cap," a dental crown is fabricated to fit precisely over cracked, broken teeth or have large amounts of decay in them and need extra structural support and protection. A dental crown is an excellent way to repair large cracked fillings, restore broken teeth, and relieve tooth pain.
Dental implants are made of titanium, one of the most bio-compatible materials on the market, which means even if you have a metal allergy, you are still likely to be an excellent candidate for implants. The implant is designed to function as the root of a tooth, placed entirely in the jaw bone, just as your tooth’s natural root is. The top portion of the implant can be a single tooth, a part of a bridge helping to replace multiple teeth, or a component designed to improve a denture or partial denture.
The dentist uses a dental bridge to fill the space created by one or more missing teeth. Teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth are used as abutments, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridgework is both an art and exact science. A missing tooth should be replaced as soon as possible for several reasons. Without treatment, the teeth surrounding the gap will shift inward, creating a chain reaction of problems. When one tooth is lost or missing, the nearby teeth quickly start to "fall" like dominoes. Don't let this happen to you or your loved ones.
